Hi, I’m Sam!

I’ve always loved crafting. As far as I can recall, it started on the playground, where I was more interested in making lanyards and friendship bracelets than playing kickball or tether ball during recess. Thanks to my art major mom, there was never a shortage of creative outlets at home!

These days, I constantly find myself noticing beautiful items in shops and thinking, I could make that. Instead of buying whatever it might be that day, I immediately hop on my phone and start googling “how to make candles”, “DIY lip balm”, or “beginners furniture painting”.

There’s no doubt I spend more money gathering the supplies than I would just buying the item, but the sense of accomplishment and the excitement that accompanies it is more than worth it! I love looking at something and thinking, I made that!

And now that I’ve tried so many things, I want to share my stories with you! I hope you’ll find them instructive and inspiring. And more than that, I hope you’ll be able to learn from my adventures and avoid the mistakes that I made along the way!
